KynicLab
Brand identity and visual design, based in Guangzhou.
Design is a system of decisions — not a single moment of inspiration.
01
Identity is not
a logo.
It's a system of decisions
that holds under pressure.
Every color choice, every typographic call, every material decision — they compound. The brands that last are built on systems, not aesthetics.
02
The shelf is brutal.
The algorithm is noise.
The only thing that survives
is a brand that means something.
Consumer attention is fragmented across a thousand surfaces. The brands that cut through aren't louder — they're clearer.
03
Five years.
Hundreds of touchpoints.
One question every time:
does this deserve to exist?
From FMCG campaigns to independent cultural projects. The standard doesn't change with the budget.

About
Brian Tsang is a brand identity designer based in Guangzhou. Five years of practice across consumer goods, healthcare, food and beverage, and independent cultural projects — from thousand-store retail campaigns to stage visuals for underground shows. His approach treats identity as a discipline of decisions: color, typography, material, and motion chosen not for how they appear in isolation, but for how they compound across every touchpoint a brand occupies. When a budget shrinks and a brief changes and the shelf is brutal, a well-built system holds. That is what he builds. KynicLab is his independent practice, delivering full-chain brand work from strategy and naming through VI systems, packaging, and motion. He is currently open to in-house and project-based opportunities in brand and visual design.
